Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond coating tool having excellent fusion-bond resistance and obtaining a smooth finished surface in cutting aluminum or aluminum alloy. SOLUTION: In this diamond coating tool, the tool surface roughness Rz is 1 μm or less when a process of depositing under the condition of obtaining a surface having excellent smoothness of diamond to form a film surface mainly composed of a [100] face of diamond and a process of depositing under the condition of obtaining a surface having excellent fusion-bond resistance of diamond to form a film surface mainly composed of a [111] face of diamond are alternately repeated on a base material of a carbide tool having a surface roughness of 3 μm or less until the film thickness reaches 10 to 30 μm, both inclusive at least in a cutting blade part.
