Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new α-L-arabinofuranosidase, a gene encoding the α-L-arabinofuranosidase, a method for expressing the α-L-arabinofuranosidase by using the gene, an enzyme composition containing the α-L-arabinofuranosidase and a method for treating a plant and/or plant derived material by using the α-L-arabinofuranosidase or an enzyme composition, and a method for producing L-arabinose at a low cost. SOLUTION: This new α-L-arabinofuranosidase derived from microorganisms belonging to the genus Acremonium, a protein showing the enzyme activity, a gene and a nucleic acid-constituted material encoding the protein, an expression vector containing the nucleic acid-constituted material; a host cell; a method for producing the α-L-arabinofuranosidase or the protein exhibiting the enzyme activity; and the various uses of the protein showing the enzymatic activity are provided.
