DEVICES FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING INFORMATION THROUGH NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control DVD information with other equipment according to the control instruction from the user, when transmitting the DVD information to the other equipment that can be displayed through the network. SOLUTION: This device for receiving the information through a network comprises: a receiver which receives a program stream through the network; a transmission format converter which converts the program stream into a transmission stream; a user interface manager which receives user commands; a sub-picture processor which decodes the sub-picture extracted by the transmission format converter and generates bitmap image information; and a navigation data processor which decodes the navigation data extracted by the transmission format converter so as to generate a screen control information.
