TELEVISION BROADCAST RECORDER, DATABASE SERVER, AND CM INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM UTILIZING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television broadcast recorder which is used for acquiring detailed information on the CM of a television broadcast, and database server, and CM information providing system utilizing the same. SOLUTION: The detailed information on the desired CM is provided by a CM information providing system 1 comprising: a television broadcast recorder 2 which extracts additional information data on a CM portion from digital television broadcast data displayed on a television set, transmits the additional information data and a keyword inputted for the CM portion to a database server 7 via the Internet and receives the detailed information on the CM portion in response to the transmission; and the database server which stores the detailed information on the CM, extracts first information and second information corresponding to the additional information data or the like, and transmits them to the television broadcast recorder 2 when the additional information data on the CM portion and the keyword inputted for the CM portion are received from the television broadcast recorder 2.
