Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home server system and a contents distribution method in which user's operation load is reduced. SOLUTION: A gateway 11 receives a contents service request from a terminal 12 in which communication existing in a home service area 10 is established, selects contents suited to the sort of the terminal transmitting the request by using contents identification information included in the request and terminal management information managed on a table and transmits a contents service request for acquiring the selected contents to a contents server system 20 through the Internet 30.
