COLLAPSING DEVICE OF PET BOTTLE OR EMPTY CAN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution for such a problem that a PET bottle is collapsed on its side face in all the traditional techniques so that the bottle is flattened into a vertically long shape, and a remarkable volume reduction is not achieved. SOLUTION: The PET bottle or empty can collapsing device comprises a base table contacting with one end of the longitudinal direction of the PET bottle, the empty can or the like, a guide rail installed on the base table vertically to the base table, a pusher contacting with the other end of the longitudinal direction of the PET bottle, the empty can or the like, which is attached to the guide rail movably back and forth toward the base table, and a linkage mechanism including a first link with its one end connected to the pusher and a second link with its one end pivoted to the base table and connected at a proper position with the other end of the first link. The device is characterized in that the PET bottle, the empty can or the like is collapsed in the longitudinal direction between the base table and the pusher, by operating the free end of the second link and sliding the pusher along the guide rail.
