REDUNDANT DATA STORAGE SYSTEM HAVING DUAL CONTROLLERS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundant data storage system and a method relevant to the same. SOLUTION: The redundant data storage system 100 is provided comprising a first controller 108A1 with top-level control of a first memory space 128A1 and a second controller 108A2 with top-level control of a second memory space 128A2 different than the first memory space. The system asynchronously reflectively writes state information by the first controller to the second memory space, alternatively the system asynchronously reflectively writes state information by the second controller to the first memory space. The method is provided for operating the redundant data storage system 100 by resolving any inconsistency between the existing state information and a modified state information changed in association with a state information change request and for switching control in the redundant data storage system between the controllers 108A1, 108A2.
