GAS SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of acquiring short-period data at a proper time in detail even during monitoring operation over a long period of time to grasp the situation of a change in the concentration of a gas to be sensed in detail. SOLUTION: In the gas detector constituted so as to perform monitoring operation due to an intermittent measuring mode for intermittently measuring at least the concentration of the gas to be sensed in an environmental atmosphere at every predetermined measuring interval time, when it is sensed that the concentration value of the gas measured by an initial intermittent measuring mode set at the start time of monitoring operation is within a predetermined concentration range, the initial intermittent measuring mode is automatically altered to a measuring mode of which the measuring interval time is shorter than that of the initial intermittent measuring mode. In this gas sensor, the initial intermittent measuring mode is automatically altered to the measuring mode of which the measuring interval time is shorter than that of the initial intermittent measuring mode or a continuous measuring mode for continuously measuring the concentration of the gas.
