Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the oral cavity having excellent plaque-formation inhibiting effect, useful for the prevention of oral diseases and safe to the human body. SOLUTION: The oral cavity composition contains a butyric acid fermentation liquid. The composition may further contain one or more components selected from gluconic acid salts, sugar alcohols, oligosaccharides and inulin. The invention further provides an oral cavity composition containing butyric acid bacteria and gluconic acid salt, a composition containing lactic acid bacteria in addition to the above components and a non-aqueous composition containing the above components.
