Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction-stir joining tool and a friction-stir joining method by which the deformation of a work with the friction-stir joining is prevented and the improvement of quality in the work can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the friction-stir joining tool 1 for joining the works W1, W2 by softening and stirring them by friction-heat generated by high speed rotation of a rotor 2, an annular work-holding member 6 for pressing the works W1, W2 in the axial center L direction of the rotor 2 and an elastic body 7 for energizing the work-holding member 6 in the above axial center L direction, are provided at the outside of the outer peripheral surface 5 of the rotor 2.
