Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swirling type cyclone which is capable of efficiently recovering coarse particles. SOLUTION: This swirling type cyclone 11 separates the coarse particles 41 mainly located in the major diameter of the total particle size distribution and intermediate particles 42 with an intermediate diameter among a group of particles having the particle size distribution from the fine particles 40 to the coarse particles 41 included in the gas 20 selectively to recover from the gas 20 utilizing swirl C. The swirling type cyclone 11 is provided with a cyclone itself 30 with a cylindrical outer tube 30a, a gas inlet pipe 32 arranged at the upper end part of the outer tube 30a so that the extending direction becomes parallel with the tangent direction of the outer tube 30a, and a coarse particle discharging pipe 33 communicating with an opening 33a opened to the side wall of the outer tube 30a.
