Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a top coating film, by which the generation of a repelled dot and a dent can be prevented when water base paint and clear paint are applied to the intermediate coating film-formed object to be coated by a wet-on-wet method and consequently the generation of the repelled dot and the dent in the formed clear coating film can also be prevented. SOLUTION: This method for forming the top coating film comprises a step (1) of applying water base paint to the intermediate coating film-formed object to be coated to form a base coating film, a step (2) of applying clear paint onto the formed base coating film by the wet-on-wet method to form a clear coating film and a step (3) of baking/hardening the formed coating films simultaneously. The dynamic surface tension, which is measured at 30 milliseconds by a maximum bubble pressure method, of the clear paint when applied is controlled to be 39.0-43.0 millipascals-second.
