Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone dust collection type vacuum cleaner which has a high separating efficiency for dust and dirt, and which can effectively prevent separated dust and dirt from adhering to an air discharging cylinder. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner 1A is equipped with a cyclone dust collecting device 100 which is connected with a main body 2A with a suction hose 4. For the cyclone dust collecting device 100, the upper section serves as a separating chamber 132, and the lower section serves as an accumulating chamber 133, and the air discharging cylinder 140 is arranged at the center of the separating chamber 132. An air stream which is sucked in from a suction port body 6 by the operation of an electric blower 3 is introduced to the separating chamber 132 through a connection pipe 5 tangentially to the inner peripheral wall, and dust and dirt are separated by the rotation in the separating chamber 132 and the accumulating chamber 133. A shielding member 150 is arranged at the boundary between the separating chamber 132 and the accumulating chamber 133. A plurality of ribs 155 are formed on the outer periphery of the shielding member 150 with a predetermined interval so that the rotating air stream which returns from the accumulating chamber 133 to the separating chamber 132 can be interrupted.
