ISOLATOR AND TRANSFER CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isolator having such a carrying in and out port mechanism as to have high safety and rapid operability, for the purpose of more efficiently conducting carrying in and out operations of an animal or an article on the isolator. SOLUTION: In this isolator, a door 15 on an isolator side is positioned on a carrying in and out port of the isolator, so as to make a cover 17 openable to the inside, a transfer container 1 is attached to the carrying in and out port from the outside, a cover 14 of the transfer container is covered with the cover 17 of the isolator and then fastened and integrated therewith, so as to make the cover 17 of the isolator and the cover 14 of the transfer container together openable, an opening of the carrying in and out port and the cover of the transport container have diameters approximately equal to each other and are made to correspond to each other, so as to prevent outer surfaces of the transfer container other than the cover from being exposed to the inside of the isolator, and therefore, the inside of the isolator is prevented from being contaminated.
