Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition for forming an overcoat which satisfies conventional requirements such as adhesiveness, visible light transparency and high surface hardness, and is also excellent in high temperature resistance, particularly in ITO vapor deposition resistance, particularly when it is used as an overcoat of a colored resin film for color filters for liquid crystal displays. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition for an overcoat comprises a silane-modified epoxy resin (A) having an alkoxy group obtained by subjecting an epoxy resin having a hydroxy group and an alkoxysilane partial condensate to dealcoholization condensation reaction, a curing agent (B) and a curing accelerator (C).
