STEERING LOCK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device capable of preventing overheat of an actuator without increasing the size of the steering lock device. SOLUTION: This steering lock device 1 makes steering impossible by fitting a lock bar 30 to a steering shaft 20 by driving force of a motor 10. The steering lock device 1 is provided with a steering lock ECU 40. A microcomputer of the steering lock ECU 40 adds a counter value when the motor 10 is operated to a first initial counter value before operating the motor 10, and forcibly stops the motor 10 when the counter value obtained by subtracting the counter value when the motor 10 is stopped reaches a stopping counter value. The microcomputer sets a second initial counter value after a resetting to a value larger than the first initial counter value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
