PORTABLE TOILET USED IN COMMON AS CHAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet used as a chair in common which can be folded even when a space under its backrest is restricted and which is provided with a seat body which never projects markedly to the front or rear of the backrest even when folded. SOLUTION: In the portable toilet 1 where the seat body 27 covering a toilet seat is folded and housed, the seat body 27 is halved in its front and rear direction into a front divided body 27a and a rear divided body 27b. The rear divided body 27b is pivoted turnably with respect to a seat part by a turning arm 30 mounted to the rear end of the rear divided body 27b. At the lower position of a backrest part 16, a housing space 25 having a shelf part whose level is lower than that of the upper surface of the seat part is formed. The rear divided body 27b is turned backward with the turning arm 30 as a base point to make the rear end face of the rear divided body 27b abut on the shelf part of the housing space 25 bring into contact.
