Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight assisting device for a physically weak person capable of being easily carried and being easily loaded in a vehicle, or the like, as well without sacrificing a living space. SOLUTION: In this assisting device for the physically weak person comprising a base frame 1 provided with a motor-driven drive mechanism and a member 16 for elevating and lowering the body which can be elevated and lowered by the drive mechanism, the member 16 for elevating and lowering the body is provided with a seat part 2, and grounding leg rod bodies 3 in the shape of being stretched in the horizontal front in a using state are freely attachable and detachable to/from the base frame 1.
