ELECTRONIC WATERMARK EMBEDDING APPLICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watermark embedding application method and system, and a program capable of realizing an emulating means for determining an electronic watermark embedding strength whereby an electronic watermark is excellently detectable from an image displayed on an image display medium, easily embedding the electronic watermark at an optimum strength by the emulating means, and relieving a load imposed on the embedding of the electronic watermark. SOLUTION: The electronic watermark embedding application system includes: a display environment emulating means for embedding an electronic watermark under strength correction wherein the image quality and the embedding strength of the electronic watermark are selected to be predetermined prescribed values on the basis of an image display characteristic unique to a display medium for displaying an image; an electronic watermark detection means for detecting the electronic watermark from the image subjected to the strength correction by the display environment emulating means; and an embedding strength correction means for controlling the embedded strength correction by the display environment emulating means in response to a detection value of the electronic watermark detected by the electronic watermark detection means.
