Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten power generating efficiency by uniformly supplying a gas and cooling water to the inside of a fuel cell by disposing manifolds each connected to a gas passage and a coolant passage in the inside of the fuel cell respectively in an optimum way. SOLUTION: This fuel cell 10 has an anode 14, a solid electrolyte membrane 12, and a cathode 16, and is to generate power by receiving the anode gas containing hydrogen in the anode 14 and by receiving the cathode gas containing oxygen in the cathode 16. It is equipped with the passage 24 for the fuel gas, the passage 26 for the oxidizer gas, the passage 28 for cooling water, and manifold parts 32 each connected to both ends of the passages 24, 26, 28 respectively, and as to their planar disposition in the surface direction of the solid electrolyte membrane 12, each of the manifolds 32 is disposed so as to have a positional relation linearly symmetric with respect to a center line C dividing the prescribed region where the passages 24, 26, 28 are provided into two along the extending direction of the passages 24, 26, 28.
