| Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing toner by which cylindrical toner particles improved in deterioration of durability and lowering of fluidity due to chipping of angular parts can be manufactured in an easy and reliable way. SOLUTION: The cylindrical toner particles are manufactured through a fiber making step of forming a molten toner material into a fiber shape by extruding the toner material from a nozzle; a particle making step of producing cylindrical particles by cutting the toner material formed into the fiber shape; and an external addition and rounding-off step of carrying out external addition treatment by which an external additive is added to the surfaces of the cylindrical particles obtained at the particle making step and rounding-off treatment by which the angular parts of the cylindrical particles are made round, by applying mechanical force to the cylindrical particles after mixed with the external additive.
