Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of noise by relieving a shock, by smoothly transferring to a return stroke, by gradually and stepwise absorbing its kinetic energy, without violently butting against an end surface of a cylinder in the tail end of its advance stroke by a piston. SOLUTION: Shock absorbing packing 3 is formed by continuously arranging an annular projection 20 having an inverse V-shaped cross section turning in the axial direction on the inner periphery of an annular sandwiching supporting piece 19 composed of a flexible material, and is fastened to an inside surface of an end wall 2 of the cylinder 4. When an outside end surface of the piston 9 abuts on this shock absorbing packing 3, the shock is absorbed by pressing the annular projection 20, and the shock is absorbed by compressing air in a space surrounded by a front end surface of the piston 9, the annular projection 20 and the end wall 2 of the cylinder 4, and the shock is also absorbed by compressing the air in an annular space surrounded by the annular projection 20 and the end wall 2 of the cylinder 4 by pressing the annular projection 20.
