Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a hollow sphere polymer in which improved whiteness, opacity, etc., are obtained when used for applications in which the hollow sphere polymer is exposed to high temperature. SOLUTION: The method for using the hollow sphere polymer comprises (a) a step for providing a composition containing a dispersion of a hollow sphere polymer (the hollow sphere polymer arbitrarily crosslinked and having a core stage that has been swollen with a hard or fixed base), (b) a step for practicing at least one step selected from (i) a step for mixing the composition containing the hollow sphere polymer with a coating composition, (ii) a step for mixing the composition containing the hollow sphere polymer with a thermoplastic substance and (iii) a step for bringing the composition containing the hollow sphere polymer into contact with a substrate and (c) a step for exposing the composition containing the hollow sphere polymer to 100°C to 350°C.
