ZERO POINT DRIFT DETECTION MEANS OF OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION DEVICE, AND OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zero point drift detection means of an occupant crash protection device capable of preventing any improper operation of an occupant protector even when the zero point drift of a overturn angular velocity detection means to detect the overturn angular velocity generated when a vehicle is overturned occurs. SOLUTION: The zero point drift detection means of the occupant crash protection device is provided on the occupant crash protection device 1 which is operated when a vehicle is overturned to protect an occupant, and detects the zero-point drift of an overturn angular velocity sensor (an overturn angular velocity detection means) 10 to detect the overturn angular velocity. The zero point drift detection means has an overturn angle correction unit 41 to cancel the overturn angle when neither a longitudinal G sensor 11 to detect the vertical acceleration of the vehicle nor a lateral G sensor 12 to detect the acceleration in the right-to-left direction of the vehicle detects the acceleration, the overturn angle sensor 10 detects the overturn angular velocity, and the overturn angle of the vehicle is integrated based on the overturn angular velocity.
