SOLUTION: A method for stabilizing the protocatechuate dioxygenase is characterized as adding at least either one of the following (a) and (b) as a stabilizer. (a) at least one kind selected from an L-amino acid, an L-imino acid, a derivative of the L-amino acid, a D-amino acid, a D-imino acid, a derivative of the D-amino acid, betaines, an oligopeptide, a polypeptide and a water-soluble protein and (b) an organic acid and/or an organic acid salt.
