TRANSMITTER AND TRANSMITTING CHARACTERISTIC MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter for outputting a modulating signal corresponding to the characteristic value of an output from a digital filter, and to enable the measurement of a transmitting characteristic from this output by a flexible measuring apparatus. SOLUTION: The transmitter is constituted of a clock generator 25, a synchronizing circuit 21, a shift register 22, a read address generating decoder 33, a digital filter including a storage device 24, a D-A converter, and a modulator. The band limited result of the storage device 24 is synchronized with outputs of SA12, SB13 of the shift register 22, namely the CLKF15 of the clock generator 25 in accordance with transmitting data of DIN6, and is then read out from the storage device 24 by the output of the read address generating decoder 33. The result is outputted from the DOUT9 by being converted and modulated into an analog signal by the D-A converter and by a modulator 4. By the combination of "H" or "L" given to the CNTA30 and CNTB31 of the read address generating decoder 33, a particular value stored in the storage device 24 can be read and the modulation signal can be outputted in which an input to the modulator is fixed to a certain value.
