Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powder which has a high weld line preventing effect, an excellent metallic appearance, and a high mold scratch-preventing effect for injection molds. SOLUTION: This metal-coated calcium carbonate powder comprises calcium carbonate particles having metal coating layers and has an average particle diameter of 10 to 350 μm and an average shape ratio of 1/4 to 1. Especially suitably, silver-coated calcium carbonate powder comprises calcium carbonate particles each having a base coating layer comprising silver oxide and having an average thickness of 1 to 15 nm, and a top silver coating layer having an average thickness of 10 to 150 nm and formed on the base coating layer, and has an average particle diameter of 10 to 350 μm, and an average shape ratio of 1/4 to 1. The calcium carbonate particles of base material are suitably obtained by dry-crushing an ore containing calcium carbonate as a main component, and have "angular polyhedral shapes".
