Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for attaching a sensor to a steering gear device. SOLUTION: A steering angle and steering torque sensor (22) having a housing (24) and a rotor (26) are prepared, the rotor and the housing are relatively rotated by a predetermined angle amount relative to a zero position, the rotor is mounted to a steering shaft (18) provided with a pinion gear (20) and the steering shaft is inserted into the steering gear device (10) having a rack (14) with a tooth. Until the rotor is finished to rotate to the zero position relative to the housing, the steering shaft is rotated together with the rotor (26) by the pinion gear (20) engaged with the rack (14) with the tooth.
