Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an exhaust gas particle oxidizing catalyst, which has a lower cost and can efficiently oxidize and remove PM (granular substance) at a low temperature, in place of an expensive platinum catalyst. SOLUTION: This exhaust gas particle oxidizing catalyst is characterized in that copper oxide being a first main component, at least one of cobalt oxide, nickel oxide and vanadium oxide being a second main component and at least one kind of potassium chloride and lithium chloride being a third main component are compound in an amount of 2 wt.% or above with respect to the total weight of the first and second main components.
