REEL SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engaging structure for a reel seat enabling easy change of the shape of the engaging recess according to the shape of the reel and able to hold two or more engaging recesses having different shapes. SOLUTION: The reel seat is provided with a placing member 2 having a flat face 2a making the upper face of an attaching leg R1 of a reel R abut thereon, a fixing and engaging member 3 placed at an end of the placing member 2 and positioning the seat by engaging an end of the attaching leg R1 abutting on the flat face 2a of the placing member 2, a movable engaging member 4 placed at the other end of the placing member 3 in a longitudinally slidable and turnable manner and engaging the other end of the attaching leg R1 abutting on the flat face 2a of the placing member 2 by using the front end 4b of the movable member, and a male thread and a nut 5 formed at the rear end of the movable engaging member 4 and fastening the movable engaging member 4 to the placing member 2.
