CONTACTOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactor device used, for example, when a circuit breaker for retrofit is connected to an existing terminal in a live switchboard whose contactor device is of a simple constitution and easy to be connected. SOLUTION: An attachment terminal (7) installed on a circuit breaker (1) for retrofit is provided with bridge-shaped contactors (14) vertically opposed to each other, contactor springs (16) that energize the contactors (14) in a direction in which the gap between the opposite contactors is narrowed, and a contactor stopper (17) that sets the gap (G2) between the opposite contactors on their frame-side planes (14b) of contact with a frame terminal (4) of an existing drawer frame. The opposing gap (G2) before the circuit breaker (1) for retrofit is installed is set to a value equal to or greater than the thickness (T2) of the frame terminal. Thus, when the contactors are moved to install the circuit breaker (1) for retrofit, engagement between the contactor stopper (17) and the engaging edges (14d) of the contactors is eliminated, and the contactors (14) are brought into complete contact with the frame terminal (4).
