Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a see-through type plasma display panel and a non-see-through type plasma display panel. SOLUTION: A transparent front face substrate 12, in which a transparent first electrode 14 is formed on an inside face 12a, and a transparent back face substrate 20, in which a transparent second electrode 22 is formed on an inside face 20a, are arranged so that the both electrodes 14 and 22 cross each other at a predetermined interval. When a perforated metal plate 48 having multiple through holes 46 and an insulation film formed on the surface is arranged between the both substrates 12 and 20, a metal barrier rib 30 surrounding the crossing part between the first electrode 14 and the second electrode 22 by partition walls 30a and 30b to form discharge cells 32 is constructed, and a phosphor 34 is applied to the surfaces of the partition walls of the metal barrier rib 30 surrounding the discharge cells 32. An airtight enclosure 24 is formed by sealing the circumferential edges of the both substrates 12 and 20, and the inside of the airtight enclosure 24 is filled with discharge gas. When an aperture ratio of each of the discharge cells 32 is set to 25-95%, the see-through type is constructed.
