DIGITAL VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD USED FOR THIS DIGITAL VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present the change of discrimination information to a user at the time of executing either one of recording or reproducing a digital video signal to/from a digital video recording apparatus whose discrimination information is changed even when discrimination information for discriminating the digital video recording apparatus is changed. SOLUTION: Respective storage IDs of a HDD 25, a HDD27, a PC 28, and a DVD recorder 29 connected to a digital television broadcasting receiving apparatus 11 at the time of initial registration are registered in the HDD 25 with a file form, the same contents as a registered file are registered in the inside nonvolatile memory, when execution request of video recording or reproducing of a digital video signal specifying the HDD 27 is performed, the register file is obtained from the HDD 25 by the digital television broadcasting receiving apparatus 11, the storage ID in this register file is compared with the storage ID stored in the inside nonvolatile memory, when it is changed, it is displayed on a video display that access the HDD 27 cannot be performed.
