PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately update a program of an information apparatus without disturbing utilization by a user when a fault occurs in the information apparatus, in a system where a plurality of information apparatuses are connected to a management device. SOLUTION: A plurality of image forming apparatuses 100 (failure recovery support devices 110) are connected to the management device 200 via a network 300. The image forming apparatuses 100 store a plurality of programs, and perform image processing or the like according to each program. The image forming apparatuses 100 acquire update information of these programs from the management device 200, and determine whether there is a program requiring update. When there is the program requiring update, the image forming apparatuses 100 transmit the frequency of use of the own devices to the management device 200. The management device 200 refers to the frequency of use transmitted from the plurality of image forming apparatuses 100, and transmits update date in an order according to this frequency of use.
