SOLUTION: In a burner 10 wherein atomizing combustion is performed by igniting liquid fuel scattered from a space S between a vaporization cylinder 31 and a scattering ring 32 into the combustion chamber 11, evaporating the liquid fuel by heating the vaporization cylinder 31 by combustion heat in the atomizing combustion, and jetting the evaporated fuel from the burner port 29 formed on the combustion disc 16, an air supply guide ring 50 mounted around the scattering ring to form an air supply space P is provided with a number of air supply holes 54A for directing the air supplied into the combustion chamber 11 toward the high-temperature area by flame, all around the air supply guide ring 50 at prescribed intervals.
