Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated carboxylic acid diester of 4,4'-oxydicyclohexanol which is an unsaturated carboxylic acid ester of an alicyclic alcohol especially useful as a base or a base component of a photosetting resin and a thermosetting resin owing to the presence of a polymerizable unsaturated bond and expected as a raw material to give a cured product having mechanical strength as well as transparency and provide a method for producing the diester. SOLUTION: The unsaturated carboxylic acid diester of 4,4'-oxydicyclohexanol is expressed by general formula (1) (R is H or a 1-4C alkyl).
