PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of enhancing the absorbing performance of an impact energy so as to crushing the air bag wholly with the panel member efficiently by receiving an occupant by a panel member installed on the surface of the deployed air bag when the vehicle goes in collision, of conducting the repetitive cycles of deploying the air bag and shrinking certainly, and allowing iterative use without requiring repair any particularly. SOLUTION: The air bag device 1 is equipped with a bag storage part 20 installed on an interior component 10 or an exterior component 11 of the vehicle 2, the air bag 21 accommodated in the part 20 in the shrunk condition and arranged with possibility of the pressurized air flowing in and out, an air supply/exhaust mechanism 22 capable of supplying and discharging the pressurized air repetitively to/from the air bag 21, and the panel member 23 fixed to the surface of the air bag 21 and formed with a predetermined stiffness.
