OPENING AND CLOSING COVER LOCKING DEVICE, AND RECORDER WITH THE OPENING AND CLOSING COVER LOCKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an opening and closing cover locking device from breaking at the time when an opening and closing cover locked in a close state is forcibly opened in the opening and closing cover locking device which automatically locks the opening and closing cover in the close state except for a predetermined case. SOLUTION: A recess 830 of a U shape is formed near a lock part 837 in a first lock member 83. When the operation of forcibly opening a disk tray cover 4 in a lock state is carried out and excessive force acts to the first lock member 83, the lock part 837 is subjected to deflection deformation (elastic deformation) by the recess 830. When a deflection deformation amount of the recess 830 exceeds a fixed amount, the force to open the disk try cover 4 acts in a direction whereby the engagement between the lock part 837 of the first lock member 83 and a lock hook part 853 of a second lock member 85 is released.
