Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved apparatus for radiation projection type tomography. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for radiation projection type tomography, particularly for mammography, an X-ray tube (5) is mounted at the end part of a turning arm (10) by relative motion mechanisms (36, 37, 40 and 41). The relative motion mechanism is configured so that the X-ray tube can follow the passage (22) of a cycloid (44). The tube performs photographing or exposure only when passing cusps (13 and 14) on the passage, and can simultaneously increase the useful duration of the image while keeping the moving speed of the arm constant.
