PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery machine provided with a compact thread information input system capable of saving the labor of inputting thread information, accurately inputting the thread information and utilizing the structural feature of the embroidery machine. SOLUTION: An embroidery system 10 is provided with a plurality of spool pins 1 on which thread pieces 2 are to be respectively mounted and a plurality of needles 581-586to which threads are to be supplied respectively from the different thread pieces 2, and forms the sewing pattern of two or more colors by switching and driving the plurality of needles 581-586depending on embroidery data 8. A radio tag 3 having information relating to the wound thread is stuck to the thread piece 2 and the plurality of spool pins 1 are provided with reception means 1a for reading the information that the radio tag 3 has.
