Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice-cooking material capable of easily adjusting an amount of water to be added thereto when cooked, without being deteriorated in a taste, and therefore capable of being formed into boiled rice having favorite hardness, by being cooked rather hard or rather soft. SOLUTION: In this rice-cooking material 20A, a plurality of grains of water-absorbed uncooked rice 22 containing water in a prescribed amount is received in a bag 21 made of a plastic film 23 in such a state that the grains are densely aggregated inside the bag 21, and then enclosed in the bag 21 under negative pressure. Further, the grains of the water-absorbed uncooked rice 22 adjacent to each other through frozen water are together joined without spaces in such a state that the grains are closely adhered to each other, in the rice-cooking material 20A. Furthermore, the plurality of the grains of the water-absorbed uncooked rice 22 is formed into a frozen rice aggregate 30 of a flat cylindrical shape having a prescribed surface area and a prescribed thickness.
