Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply, easily and inexpensively supply power to an optical network unit 15 without installing a new outlet even if an outlet is not provided in the vicinity of an optical cable inlet 13. SOLUTION: The optical network unit 15 is connected to a communication means provided in a home by LAN cables 17 (17a-17c) comprising a plurality of communication lines connected to a collective drop optical fiber cable 11, mutually converts an optical signal and an electrical signal, and is supplied with power. A first power supply 18a is provided between the LAN cables 17a, 17b. A second power supply 18b is provided between the LAN cables 17b, 17c. Power input/output terminals are provided in the first and second power supply 18 so as to utilize the unused communication line in the LAN cable 17b as a power supply line. An output of an adapter 19 is connected to the power input/output terminal of the first power supply 18a. The power input/output terminal of the second power supply 18b and the optical network unit 15 are connected by the power supply line 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
