METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TEMPORARILY RECEIVING LOAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily receive the load of a column according to various environments. SOLUTION: In this method for temporarily receiving the load acting on the column 1 at a planned cut position S to install a base isolation device 2 by cutting the intermediate part of the existing column 1, temporary receiving extension members 4 are installed on the upper and lower sides of the planned cut position S of the column 1 in a laterally extended state. A jack device 5 is installed across the temporary receiving extension members 4 on the upper and lower sides. After a supporting force is applied between the temporary receiving extension members 4 by the jack device 5, load transmission members 7 are interposed between the temporary receiving extension member 4A on the upper side and a beam 6A on its upper side and between the temporary receiving member 4B on the lower side and a beam 6B on its lower side so that a load can be transmitted therebetween.
