METHOD FOR EXTRACTING IMAGE OF MOVING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract only images of a moving body via a small amount of processing. SOLUTION: This method for extracting images of a moving body from input images including images of the shadows of the moving body as well as images of the moving body includes an acquisition step for obtaining shadowed background images in which part of the pixels of the background image of each input image is replaced by pixels considered the shadow of the moving body and for storing the shadowed background image in a shadowed background image storage part, and an extraction step for extracting images of the moving body from the input images using the shadowed background image stored in the shadowed background image storage part. Use of the shadowed background image makes it possible to remove the shadow of the moving body in the input image through the simple processing of the input image and the shadowed background image.
