PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of inexpensively performing effective cooling by dispensing with a remaining frost prevention heater by using a tubular heater for defrosting also as the remaining frost prevention heater. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator comprising a plurality of storage chambers composed of a refrigerating chamber, a vegetable chamber and a freezing chamber inside, a cooling unit for cooling the air inside, an inside cold air returning passage 3 arranged in parallel with the cooling unit 2 at a back face side of the freezing chamber through a partitioning member 4, a discharge opening of the cold air returning passage 3 formed at a side lower part of the cooling unit 2, and a discharge opening formed at an upper part of the cooling unit 2, an end part of the tubular heater 6 for defrosting, is positioned at an anti-cooling unit side at a lower part of the cooling unit 2 through the partitioning member 4.
