Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for repairing cracks in a structure in which the heat history is applied only to the minimum area of a structural member at a temperature not higher than the melting point and a part to be repaired is minimized, and which is made small-sized, and a method for repairing the cracks. SOLUTION: A joining tool 7 is brought into pressure-contact with a cracked part 2 of a structural member 1 by a press-rotating device 6, the joining tool 7 is rotated to generate frictional heat on the contact surface of the cracked part 2 with the joining tool 7, the structural member 1 is softened by the frictional heat, and the cracked part 2 is joined and repaired by the friction stirring and welding.
