RECEIVING APPARATUS AND RECEIVING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously receive a broadcasting program even when a broadcasting signal or broadcasting frequency is changed by moving a mobile object that receives a terrestrial wave broadcast, between different broadcasting stations. SOLUTION: When a digital reception tuner circuit 5 is tuned to a desired viewing digital channel and a desired program is viewed by demodulating and decoding in a digital demodulation circuit 6, an analog reception tuner circuit 3 is controlled by a control circuit 8, a channel scan is performed to tune to transmission channels from adjacent transmission station in order, and reception strength of each of the channels is detected. When the reception strength of the viewing digital channel is reduced and a viewing channel has to be changed, a channel where the reception strength is greatly increased in the scanned channels is determined as the next viewing channel, and viewing can be performed by tuning using the digital reception tuner circuit 5 or the analog reception tuner circuit 3.
