PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector, having structure to reflect correction by lens shift on keystone correction, and to preferentially use lens shift function. SOLUTION: The projector is equipped with a keystone correction part which applies the keystone correction to an inputted video signal, a display element for displaying a video, on the basis of the output signal of the keystone correction part, a projection lens which projects the video displayed on the display element to a screen, a lens drive part 18 which moves the projection lens and outputs its positional information, and a control part 17 which outputs the positional information of a parameter and a lens to be used for the keystone correction to the keystone correction part 12. In the control part 17, whether the amount of movement of the lens has reached a limit value is decided; only when it has reached the limit value, will the input of a signal for keystone adjustment of contents for changing the parameter used for the keystone correction be accepted and outputted to the keystone correction part 12.
