DISK ENCLOSURE DEVICE AND CONTROL PROGRAM FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk enclosure device that can detect a wrong setting of ID code setting switches among others. SOLUTION: The disk enclosure device 10 is configured to control a disk array 3 according to two redundant adapter cards 1 and 2. The adapter card 1 comprises, in addition to the ID code setting switch 4 and an MPU 5, a transistor 6 for outputting an output signal from the MPU 5 to the disk array 3 via a signal line, and a bus switch 7 for switching the signal line connecting the transistor 6 and the disk array 3 to a conducting or nonconducting state according to a control signal from the MPU 5. The MPU 5 receives an ID code set by the ID code setting switch 4 and receives an ID code from an MPU 15 and, if the two ID codes are different, determines that either ID code setting switch 4, 14 is set wrongly.
