METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DIAGNOSING DETERIORATION OF INSULATED COVERED WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnosing method of a lightweight insulated sheathed wire made operable by on person by simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: In the deterioration diagnosing method for diagnosing the degree of deterioration such as disconnection, cracking, rusting and the like of the insulated sheathed wire (hereinbelow referred as an electric wire) 15 constructed between utility poles, two almost C-shaped detection blocks 2 and 3 equipped with opening parts 30, 31 and 32 in which the electric wire 15 is inserted and having coils 22 and 23 for detecting the deterioration degree of the electric wire 15 are arranged vertically and horizontally so as to leave an appropriate interval in a state that the electric wire 15 can be taken in and out of the opening parts 30 and 31 of two detection blocks 2 and 3 and wrapped by the detection blocks. The inner surfaces of the coils 22 and 23 of two detection blocks 2 and 3 are arranged so as to be brought into contact with the electric wire 15 at two or above places. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
